THE PHILOSOPHICAL FRAMEWORK OF EMMANUEL CHRISTIAN ACADEMY (ECA) |
ECA is grounded on the following philosophy:
- That christ is the head of all missions, in him nothing is impossible, as long as we obey and keep his precepts.
- That our creator sent each person to this world with talents intended to make our world a better place, but these talents cannot
yield fruits without the opportunity to identify and nourish them through a nurturing educational and training system.
- That history has demonstrated to us that no civilization was raised from poverty to riches because someone or some group of people
came from another country to develop their nation for them, therefore, the best architects and promoters of authentic and
sustainable development are the indigenous people themselves.
- That the international community has a noble role to play, in sharing technology and other resources, but these technologies have to be
woven into the fabric of the recipient communities, and within the context of their social structure and customs, especially those
customs that are constructive and promote social development.
- That the principle of “receiving in order to share” is crucial in the development of a nation, and that the practical elements of this
principle cannot be taught in a classroom alone; therefore field training WILL BE a strategic component of the ECA system of
education.
